This is the season not only for human visitors, but for avian ones as well. Everywhere you there are birds galore. Philip, Fermin and Mario have just updated our bird list which is currently at 307 within a 5-mile radius.
Our bird feeder is very active in the mornings and, if you aren’t a birdwatcher, you will still like seeing these colorful feathered friends and you may even be interested in booking a guided bird walk yourself.
The Macal River is lovely right now and the 20-25 minute tubing, starting just a few minutes walk from the lodge and ending on the beach is a great way to cool off in the afternoon. Combine this with a day of walking through the gardens, around the trails, a short horseback ride and picnic on the beach and you have the perfect “stay at home” day.
